Parenting From the Fear of the Lord

This Sunday at Grace. The title is deliberate. Yes, there's two ways it could be taken. Only one is meant.

One way is to seek to drive offspring away from fearing God. Keep them "from" the fear of the Lord. That's pagan parenting. It is to be avoided.

The other way is for parents to always be fearing the Lord themselves. Our children need to see mom and dad bowing the knee to Jesus and following His Word no matter the cost. This is godly fear. And this is good parenting.

Always fearing God. Always parenting accordingly. That's where we're headed this Sunday.
