True contentment for the believer is rooted in his resting in Christ’s crucifixion, resurrection and intercession. This is the final sermon in the 11 part series on the book of Philippians.

Jesus is the perfect example of humility. And only through Him and the Gospel can we as His people be unified and humble.

Paul’s life was Christ exalting because he used every bit of time to proclaim the gospel. His life was Christ and death was gain.

Paul desired His life to be for the progress of the Gospel. God made Paul’s imprisonment be for the greater progress of the Gospel. Our lives are to be lived out for the greater progress for the gospel as we gaze at Jesus.

Paul had the affection of Christ for the members of the church at Philippi. We should have the same affection for one another, that of Christ for us.
